Your privacy is very important to us. Therefore, data protection has a high priority in our company. We aim to make the use of our website, shop, and other services as convenient as possible for you. For this reason, we store data ourselves or transfer it to service providers with whom we cooperate.

1. Access Data and Hosting
You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Each time a webpage is accessed, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file, which includes, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the access.
This access data is evaluated solely for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the website and improving our services. This is done in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR to protect our overriding legitimate interests in the proper presentation of our offerings as part of a balancing of interests. All access data will be deleted no later than seven days after your visit to the site.
Hosting Services by a Third-Party Provider
As part of a data processing agreement on our behalf, a third-party provider provides the hosting and presentation services for our website. All data collected as part of the use of this website or in the designated forms in the online shop, as described below, is processed on their servers. Processing on other servers only occurs within the scope explained here.
This service provider is located in a country outside the European Union for which the European Commission has determined by decision that an adequate level of data protection exists.
2. Data Collection and Use for Contract Processing, Contact Requests, and Account Creation
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g., via contact form or email), or when creating a customer account. Required fields are marked as such because we need these data to process the contract or respond to your inquiry. Without providing this information, you will not be able to complete the order or submit the contact request. The data collected is evident from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process contracts and respond to your inquiries in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.
If you have given your consent under Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR by choosing to open a customer account, we will use your data for this purpose. Further information about the processing of your data, particularly with regard to its transfer to service providers for order, payment, and shipping processing, can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy.
After the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the expiry of retention periods required under tax and commercial law in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data under Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, or we reserve the right to use your data in ways permitted by law, which we inform you about in this statement.
You may delete your customer account at any time, either by sending a message to the contact details provided in this privacy policy or through a function provided for this purpose in your customer account.
3. Data Sharing
To fulfill the contract in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we share your data with the shipping company responsible for delivery, to the extent that this is necessary for delivering the ordered goods. Depending on the payment service provider you select during the order process, we transfer the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution handling the payment and, if applicable, to any payment service providers commissioned by us or the selected payment service itself.
In some cases, the selected payment service providers collect these data themselves, provided you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the respective payment service provider during the order process using your login credentials. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in this regard.
Data Sharing with Shipping Service Providers
If you have given us your explicit consent during or after placing your order, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, we will share your email address and phone number with the selected shipping service provider. This allows them to contact you prior to delivery for the purpose of delivery notification or coordination.
You can revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the contact details provided below, or directly to the shipping service provider at the contact address listed below. After revoking your consent, we will delete the data provided for this purpose unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data, or we reserve the right to use the data in ways permitted by law, as explained in this policy.

Data Sharing with Debt Collection Agencies
To fulfill the contract in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we transfer your data to a commissioned debt collection agency if our payment claim remains unpaid despite prior reminders. In this case, the debt will be collected directly by the debt collection agency.
Furthermore, the transfer of data serves to protect our overriding legitimate interests in the effective enforcement of our payment claims, as part of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
4. Email Newsletter and Postal Advertising
Email Advertising with Newsletter Subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the required data or any data you provide separately to regularly send you our email newsletter based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by sending a message to the contact details provided below or via the link provided in the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we will delete your email address from the recipient list unless you have explicitly consented to further use of your data, or we reserve the right to use your data in ways permitted by law, which we inform you about in this privacy policy.
The newsletter is sent as part of data processing on our behalf by a service provider to whom we forward your email address for this purpose.
This service provider is located in a country outside the European Union for which the European Commission has determined an adequate level of data protection by decision.
Postal Advertising and Your Right to Object
We also reserve the right to use your first and last name as well as your postal address for our own advertising purposes, such as sending you interesting offers and information about our products by postal mail. This serves our overriding legitimate interests in addressing our customers for advertising purposes in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR as part of a balancing of interests.
The advertising mail is processed on our behalf by a service provider, to whom we forward your data for this purpose.
You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact details provided below.
Referral Program
As a customer of Beyer & Söhne, you have the opportunity to refer friends, acquaintances, and family members as new customers. Please ensure that you only refer individuals who are personally known to you. We will send an email to the individuals you refer and use the data you provide exclusively for this purpose.
Please note that the referred person will receive a notification email from us, which includes your first and last name.
5. Integration of the Trusted Shops Trustbadge
To display our Trusted Shops quality seal, any collected reviews, and to offer Trusted Shops products to customers after an order, the Trusted Shops Trustbadge is integrated into this website.
This serves to safeguard our overriding legitimate interests in optimal marketing and the facilitation of a secure shopping experience in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The Trustbadge and the services it promotes are provided by
Trusted Shops GmbH
, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne, Germany. The Trustbadge is made available through a content delivery network (CDN) provider as part of a commissioned data processing arrangement. Trusted Shops GmbH also uses service providers in the USA, with an adequate level of data protection ensured. Further information about data protection at Trusted Shops GmbH can be found here [
https://www.trustedshops.de/impressum/#datenschutz
].
When the Trustbadge is accessed, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file, which also contains your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the access. Specific access data are stored in a security database to analyze security anomalies. Log files are automatically deleted no later than 90 days after their creation.
Further personal data is transferred to Trusted Shops GmbH if you decide to use Trusted Shops products after completing an order or if you have already registered for their use. The contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies in this case. For this purpose, personal data are automatically collected from the order details. Whether you, as a buyer, are already registered for product use is verified using a neutral parameter — a cryptologically hashed version of your email address generated through a one-way function. Before transmission, your email address is converted into this hash value, which cannot be decrypted by Trusted Shops. If a match is detected, the parameter is automatically deleted.
This processing is necessary to fulfill our and Trusted Shops’ overriding legitimate interests in providing buyer protection associated with the specific order and transactional review services in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Further details, including information on how to object, can be found in the Trusted Shops Privacy Policy, which is linked above and within the Trustbadge.

Additionally, we use cookies where required to fulfill a legal obligation we are subject to, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR, and to protect our overriding legitimate interests in the optimized presentation of our offerings, as part of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Further information on specific cookies and their respective legal bases can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for Web Analysis
If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, this website uses Google (Universal) Analytics for website analysis purposes. The web analytics service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, a company registered and operated under Irish law, located at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (
www.google.de
). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods such as cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The automatically collected information about your use of this website is typically transferred to and stored on a Google server in the USA. By activating IP anonymization on this website, your IP address is truncated before transmission within member states of the European Union or other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and then truncated there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will generally not be merged with other Google data. Once the purpose for using Google Analytics is fulfilled and we terminate its use, the data collected in this context will be deleted.
If information is transferred to and stored on Google servers in the USA, the American company Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. You can view the current certificate
here
. Based on this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined that companies certified under the Privacy Shield maintain an adequate level of data protection.
You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:

As an alternative to the browser plugin, you can click to prevent future tracking by Google Analytics on this website:
An opt-out cookie will be placed on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will be prompted to provide consent again.
If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, this website also uses Google Signals, an extension of Google Analytics that enables
cross-device tracking
. This means that, if your internet-enabled devices are linked to your Google account, Google can generate reports on user behavior (specifically cross-device user numbers), even when you switch devices. For this purpose, Google uses data only if you have enabled the “personalized advertising” setting in your Google account.
We do not process any personal data ourselves in this context; we receive only statistics created based on Google Signals. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
. This will prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google. In addition, you can deactivate the “personalized advertising” setting in your Google account. For details, please refer

Once the purpose has been fulfilled and we stop using Google Ads Remarketing, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

Outbrain
In certain areas of our website, we use technology provided by Outbrain UK Ltd., Outbrain UK Limited, 5 New Bridge Street, London, EC4V 6JA, UK. Using a so-called widget, users are directed to additional content that may also be of interest to them, both within our website and on third-party websites. The content displayed in the Outbrain widget is automatically managed and delivered by Outbrain, both in terms of content and technology.
The reading recommendations, which are typically integrated below an article, are based on content the user has previously read. For displaying these interest-based recommendations, Outbrain uses cookies stored on the user’s device or browser. Outbrain collects the device source, browser type, and the user’s IP address, whereby the last octet of the IP address is anonymized. Outbrain assigns a Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) to identify the user’s device when visiting a website that has the Outbrain widget implemented. Outbrain creates user profiles by aggregating user interactions (e.g., page views and clicks) of a browser or device to derive preferences associated with the UUID.
The legal basis for data processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
You can object to the tracking for displaying interest-based recommendations by Outbrain at any time. To do so, click the “Reject” field (Opt-Out) under Outbrain’s privacy policy, available at

We use the Reddit Conversion Pixel, an analytics service provided by Reddit Inc., 520 Third Street, Suite 305, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States, on our website. This enables us to determine the total number of users who clicked on our advertisement and were redirected to a webpage containing a Reddit pixel. During this process, we do not receive any information that would allow us to personally identify you as a user. If you do not wish to participate in this tracking method, you can prevent cookies from being stored independently of the opt-in banner by configuring your internet browser.
